Itinerary Low Water Season 5 Days

Day 1 (Saturday): Iquitos, Nauta, Marañon River, Nauta Caño

Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred in a private vehicle to the port of Nauta. Enjoy a boxed lunch along the way before boarding the cruise ship. Settle into your suite, fully equipped for comfort, and toast the journey with a regional fruit and pisco cocktail. As the cruise departs, naturalist guides will introduce the itinerary and regional highlights. In the evening, venture on a skiff to Nauta Caño for a night excursion in search of caimans, tarantulas, and other nocturnal species. Return for a delicious Amazonian-influenced welcome dinner onboard.

Day 2 (Sunday): Marañon River, Yanayacu de Pucate, San Regis

Begin the day on the top deck, spotting migratory birds before heading out by boat to Yanayacu de Pucate, one of the most pristine areas of the Pacaya Samiria Reserve. Enjoy breakfast surrounded by nature, with opportunities for kayaking or a swim in the blackwaters. Back onboard, witness a Peruvian cocktail demo before lunch. In the afternoon, visit the native community of San Regis to learn about local traditions and spiritual beliefs from a shaman. Participate in a symbolic tree-planting ceremony and browse a small market featuring handcrafted goods. End the day with live music before dinner.

Day 3 (Monday): Marañon River, Casual, Amazon River

After breakfast, journey into the jungle for a guided walk and canopy bridge experience, offering a treetop view of the lush Amazon. Return to the ship for lunch and a short rest, followed by a talk on endangered species in the region. Later, cruise along the Nahuapa River and try your hand at traditional piranha fishing. As dusk falls, embark on another night safari to search for nocturnal jungle creatures. Return for live music and a relaxing dinner onboard.

Day 4 (Tuesday): Marañón River, San Regis, Shiriyacu

Start the day with a wildlife walk in Casual, home to towering Avatar trees, colorful frogs, and the enormous Victoria Amazonica water lilies. Explore the area and support local women artisans offering handmade crafts. After returning to the ship, enjoy a cooking demonstration by the executive chef, followed by lunch. Later, attend a talk on the origin of the Amazon River before cruising to the majestic confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón Rivers. Spot pink dolphins and witness the symbolic birth of the Amazon. Free time onboard leads into your final dinner of the journey.

Day 5 (Wednesday): Marañón River , Nauta, Disembarkation, Iquitos

Before breakfast, explore the vibrant city of Nauta via motocar, visiting the local market for a glimpse into regional commerce. Return to the cruise for breakfast before disembarking. On the way to the airport, stop at the Amazon Forever Bio Park (Manatee Rescue Center) to learn about conservation efforts for endangered manatees and other wildlife. Gain insight into the rehabilitation process and ongoing work to return animals to their natural environment. Conclude your adventure with a transfer to the airport.
